Townhomes in New Orleans, Lots in the beginning and not many lately...
New Orleans Townhouses....In the beginning there were quite a few townhouses in the French Quarter and these on Julia Street. The early townhouses were built in the 1830′s as the English style came to town. For whatever reason the style did not last in New Orleans. It made a small comeback in the city as land was hard to come by and some plots like the ones below were built on St. Charles Ave. and the cross streets like the ones below. It remains a very small segment of the New Orleans Market. Photo Blog
